Utilizing data from a randomized controlled trial CBTi followed by Cognitive Processing Therapy PTSD (CPT), this secondary analysis sought examine the relationship between FoS and symptoms, how impacted CBTi, in individuals exposed interpersonal violence with we extend literature examining whether predicts effect subsequent CPT on severity or if further reduces Methods A sample 83 participants were randomly assigned either receive sequential delivery four weekly sessions which included modules address FoS, 12 (Group 1: CBTi+CPT) phone check-ins (CTRL) 2: CTRL+CPT). Participants assessed at baseline (T1), after CBTi/CTRL (T2), (T3). Relevant measures Sleep Inventory (FoSI) Clinician Administered Scale (CAPS). Analyses correlations, mean differences tests, regression-based analyses. Results At T1 FoSI CAPS positively correlated (r = 0.47, p < 0.001). T2 significant reduction scores was observed Group 1 (t 4.81, 0.001), but not 2, difference all while controlling (F (1, 80) 3.99, 0.05). Lastly, entire lower predicted T3 (B 0.42, 0.01) reduced following CPT. Conclusion replicate previous work demonstrating positive severity. significantly CBTi. levels CPT, although associated reductions highlight that explicitly addresses may findings also suggest effectively reducing prior treatment improve outcomes.
